After the commercial success of Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas is ready to take on another franchise. The actor will begin shooting the sequel to Salaar, Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam. Prabhas will shoot the film from August 10.
Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire was a big success, and minted over Rs 700 crore at the ticket counter.
The first part was helmed by Prashanth Neel. It also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran.
“Through the making of Salaar, Prashanth Neel has already shot 20 per cent of the sequel with Prabhas and Prithviraj. There is a standing set at Ramoji Film City and the journey on Salaar 2 begins with a schedule on this set,” a source said.
Prabhas was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, where he shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. The film also starred Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles.
