Actor Ranvir Shorey, who is one of the participants on ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3,’ recalled the ‘biggest scandal of his life.’ It is presumed that he was hinting at his breakup with fellow actor Pooja Bhatt. During a recent episode, the actor also reflected on the period following his mother’s death.
While having a heartfelt conversation with his housemate Deepak Chaurasia, Ranvir Shorey went down the memory lane and discussed how he was involved in ‘the biggest scandal’ of his life with a female actor. He shared that during the shoot of ‘Lakshya’ in Ladakh, he received a call informing him that his mother was not doing well.
He said, “During the same time (after his mother’s death), I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. As I was unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the US and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for The Great Indian Comedy Show in 2005.”
He continued, “At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theatres back-to-back within a week, and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived.”
For those unaware, Ranvir Shorey was dating actor Pooja Bhatt in the early 2000s. However, they allegedly had an ugly breakup.
Later, in 2010, Ranvir married Konkona Sensharma, and they welcomed their son Haroon in 2011. Eventually, they separated in 2015.
Meanwhile, Ranvir often shares about his life on ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. Besides him, the show also features Armaan Malik, Kritika Malik, Vishal Pandey, Lovekesh Kataria, Deepak Chaurasia, Chandrika Dixit, Shivani Kumari, Sana Sultan, Sana Makbul and Munisha.
